# How can I change the email associated with my Scriptation account?

Scriptation doesn't have a separate email/password account system for the free and Industry Pro tiers — access is tied entirely to your **Apple ID**, not to an email address you set inside the app. Because of this, "changing your email" really means changing which Apple ID is signed in on your device.

### Individual (Industry Pro) subscriptions

Since your subscription is linked directly to your Apple ID:

1. Check which Apple ID is currently signed in on your device: [How do I check which Apple ID is logged into my device?](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-check-which-apple-id-is-logged-into-my-device-1qu91lp/)
2. Sign in on your device with the Apple ID tied to the email address you want to use going forward.
3. Start a new subscription from the app while signed in with that Apple ID.
4. Cancel the old subscription from your original Apple ID so you're not charged on both.

|| 📝 NOTE: Your files aren't lost in this process — as long as your scripts are saved to a connected cloud service (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or iCloud) rather than only "On My iPad/iPhone," they'll still be accessible after switching Apple IDs. See [How do I sync files across devices?](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-sync-files-across-devices-rj94v/)

### Team or Team Studio seats

If your subscription is part of a Team or Team Studio license managed by your organization, contact your Team Admin to move your license key to a new device.

### On Campus or Enterprise activation links

On Campus and Enterprise activation links are **device-specific**, not email-specific. If you're switching from a personal Apple ID to a different one (or vice versa) on the same device, you won't lose any files — you just activate the new license on your device, and everything already there stays intact. Contact us using the **Send us an email** button below to receive a new activation link.

### Scriptation Account

Starting in Scriptation 6.0, there's an additional, separate **Scriptation account** used for features like AI Voices. This is signed in via **Apple SSO ("Sign in with Apple")**, so it's also tied to whichever Apple ID you choose — there's no standalone email/password to edit. To use a different email here, sign out of the Account tab in **Settings** and sign back in with the Apple ID tied to the email you want.
