# How do I add scene dividers to my script?

Scriptation can automatically draw a line at the beginning of every scene in your script, making scenes visually distinct from each other when you scan the page.

This is handled by the **Scene Dividers** Info Layer, part of Scriptation's [Info Layers](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/what-are-info-layers-and-how-do-i-use-them-1gkr5qc/) feature.

|| 📝 NOTE: Info Layers are an [Industry Pro](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/what-is-scriptation-industry-pro-1jfjecg/) feature.

### Turning on scene dividers

1. With your script open, tap **Layers** on the Top Toolbar;

| ✅ TIP: If the **Layers** icon isn't showing in the Top Toolbar, touch or click the plus sign on the right side to show additional icons. To pin it permanently, see [Customizing the Top Toolbar](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/more-icons-and-customizing-the-top-toolbar-v1u97a/).

2. In the Layers side panel, find the **Info Layers** section and toggle on **Scene Dividers**;

3. Scriptation places a divider line at the beginning of every scene to visually separate it from the next.

### Customizing scene dividers

Open the **Settings** option at the bottom of the Layers side panel to choose the divider color:

* **Black** — ${color}[#000000](**———**)
* **Red** — ${color}[#ff0000](**———**)
* **Blue** — ${color}[#0000ff](**———**)

| 📝 NOTE: If your Scene Dividers appear hidden behind Large Scene Numbers (common when scenes are close together on the page), it's because the layer generated most recently is always displayed in front. Simply changing the Scene Dividers color in Settings — even to the same color you already have — will trigger it to regenerate and move to the front. Just remember to sync when prompted after exiting settings.
