# How do I Auto-Tag Cast?

With the **Auto-Tag Cast** feature, Scriptation can automatically tag all the characters in each scene. There are two ways to trigger it.

|| 📝 NOTE: Tagging is an [Industry Pro](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/what-is-scriptation-industry-pro-1jfjecg/) feature.

### Two Ways to Auto-Tag Cast

###### From the Auto-Tag Icon (Scriptation 6.0+)

1. With your script open, tap **Tagging** on the [Top Toolbar](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/an-overview-of-the-top-toolbar-i5y1y8/) to enter Tagging Mode;
2. In the Tagging top toolbar, tap **Auto-Tag**;

4. To include all characters with Voiceover / Off-Screen / Off-Camera extensions, check the box. Touch or click **Yes** to auto-tag every character in every scene.

###### From the Text Highlight Tool

You can also trigger Auto-Tag Cast directly from the Text Highlight annotation tool.

1. In Tagging Mode, select the **Text Highlight** annotation tool;

|| 📝 NOTE: The Auto-Tag Cast prompt also appears when you're in Tagging Mode and use the Text Highlight tool with the Cast category for the first time.

| 💡 TIP: Need to remove auto-tagged Cast tags later? See [How do I remove Auto-Tag Cast tags?](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-remove-auto-tag-cast-tags-i2oiu8/)

The Auto-Tag Cast feature works only with character names and the Cast tag category. Other tag categories and tools can be used for character names, but tagging will be manual.
