How do I create Tagging Exports (Breakdown Summary, Element Report, Category Report)?
You can export tag and breakdown reports as PDF documents or fully manipulatable CSV documents.
Generating Reports
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) at the top-right of the screen;
- Under Share Data, select Tagging Reports.
The Tagging Reports popover appears. At the top is a PDF / CSV toggle; below it, the three report types — Breakdown Summary, Element Report, and Category Report — each with a short description.

- Choose PDF or CSV at the top, then tap the report type you want.
Naming and Saving Your Report
Once you've chosen a report type and format from either popover, the Save flow is the same:
- Enter a name for the report and tap Save;

- Choose where to save the Report. PDF Reports can be saved locally in Scriptation or to any Cloud Folder; CSV Reports can be saved anywhere using the native Share menu;
- The Report opens in Scriptation, and you can share it with your team.
Breakdown Reports
Quickly see every tagged element in a scene-by-scene breakdown. See below for a description of the Special Categories highlighted in this screenshot:

Special Categories
Three special categories appear in particular places in Breakdown Reports:
- Scene Description — a summary of what takes place in the scene for easy reference;
- Story Day — sometimes called a Continuity Day, this refers to the day within the timeline of the story that the scene takes place;
- Scene Notes — overall notes that may apply to the whole scene and not necessarily a particular category.
Element Reports
Generates a report that lists every tag organized by category.

Category Reports
A Category Report is the same as an Element Report, except you can choose which tagged elements you want included in the report.
