# How do I delete pages from my script?

Scripts in Scriptation have two types of pages, and deletion works differently for each:

* **Added pages** — pages you've inserted yourself ([Facing Pages](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-add-facing-pages-into-my-script-1qh8gjs/), [copy-pasted pages](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-copy-and-paste-pages-1m36bl1/), [Library templates](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-use-scriptations-library-xjfmhe/), [custom PDFs or images](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-add-custom-facing-pages-1827zzw/)) can be deleted from the Page Manager without restriction.
* **Native pages** — the original script pages, in their imported order, are locked by default to protect [Note Transfer](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-transfer-my-notes-1khpcd8/). They can be deleted in special cases using [Master Edit Mode](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-use-master-edit-mode-f5bv6c/).

### Deleting added pages

1. Tap the **Page Manager** icon on the Top Toolbar.

2. Tap **Edit**.
3. Tap the added page you want to delete. A black circle appears on the page to confirm it's selected.

4. Tap **Remove**.
5. Tap **Save** to confirm.

| ✅ TIP: You can select multiple added pages before tapping **Remove** to delete several in one pass.

### Deleting native script pages

Native pages are intentionally locked by default — writers don't want their words deleted, and Scriptation relies on script pages staying in their imported order so the [Note Transfer](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-transfer-my-notes-1khpcd8/) algorithm can work effectively.

Scriptation has an advanced [Master Edit Mode](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-use-master-edit-mode-f5bv6c/) that allows Native page deletions in certain circumstances. Here are three common scenarios:

##### 1. You received Revised Pages and not the fully collated script

Use [Collate Pages](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/transferring-notes-to-a-new-set-of-pages-the-collated-pages-process-1q0eev9/) to integrate your new pages, transfer the annotations, and automatically delete the old pages. You **don't** have to manually remove pages when you use Collate.

##### 2. Your script was imported with blank or extra pages

Use [Master Edit Mode](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-use-master-edit-mode-f5bv6c/) and follow those instructions through step 8. Then tap **Edit**, select the black circles on the pages you want to delete, and tap **Remove**.

##### 3. The above situations don't apply — you just need to delete certain pages

Carefully read the instructions for [Master Edit Mode](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-use-master-edit-mode-f5bv6c/). This mode allows admin-level settings for modifying pages. After assigning your script pages to **Added** status, you'll be able to **Remove** them.

||| ⚠️ HEADS UP: We only recommend deleting Native pages from a document that you do *not* need to use for [Note Transfer](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-transfer-my-notes-1khpcd8/) again.
