# How do I enable Dark Mode?

Scriptation is fully compatible with **Apple's Dark Mode**, which adjusts your whole device — including Scriptation's toolbars, tabs, and notifications — to darker tones to limit eye strain.

To turn on Apple's Dark Mode:

1. Open your device's **Settings** app;
2. Tap **Display & Brightness**;
3. Tap **Dark**.

Dark Mode now adjusts Scriptation's toolbars, tabs, and notifications to darker tones.

|| 📝 NOTE: Apple's Dark Mode only changes the app's interface — it doesn't change the script background. If you want the script page itself to be dark too, use Scriptation's [Night Mode](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/screen-appearance-modes-sepia-and-night-1de8w2l/). The two work together for a fully dark experience.
