# How do I rename my layers?

Rename a Layer from the Layers sidebar's **3-dot menu → Edit**, then tap the Layer's name to edit it.

1. Tap the **Layers** icon on the Top Toolbar:

| ✅ TIP: If the **Layers** icon isn't showing in the Top Toolbar, touch or click the plus sign on the right side to show additional icons. To pin it permanently, see [Customizing the Top Toolbar](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/more-icons-and-customizing-the-top-toolbar-v1u97a/).

2. Tap the **3-dot menu** at the upper right of the Layers sidebar and choose **Edit**. In this example, there's a typo in the word "Production" that needs to be corrected:

3. Tap the Layer's name to edit it. When you're done, tap **OK**:
