# How do I turn off the Live Layers Name Header?

When you receive a collaborator's notes via [Live Layers](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/what-are-live-layers-and-how-do-i-get-set-up-1fowibn/), a small text box appears at the top of each page with the Layer Name — only visible when you're viewing that received layer.

If you'd rather not see that header, you can turn it off globally.

### Turn off the Received Name Header

1. **Open Settings.** Tap the **three-dot menu** (...) at the top right, then tap **Settings**.

2. **Turn off the Received Name Header.** Tap the **Live Layers** tab, then toggle off **Received name header**.

|| 📝 NOTE: Toggling off **Received name header** removes the header on the *next* sync of each layer, and on all future layers. To remove the header from layers you've already received, keep reading.

### Clear the header from existing received layers

If you want the header gone from layers you've already received, you'll need to delete and resync them:

1. [Delete the Received Layer](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-delete-a-layer-1q0dy2h/);

2. At the bottom of the Layers window, tap the **Refresh** icon:

3. When prompted, tap **Yes** to resync the Layer.

You'll see the header is gone.
