# How do I use Favorite Folders?

**Favorite Folders** are shortcuts to any local or cloud folder. Tap **Add to Favorites** from the File Browser to pin a folder to the top of your file list — perfect for the scripts and production documents you open most often.

When using Scriptation on iPad or iPhone, you can favorite any folder — including files stored on your device or in the [cloud](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-to-sync-files-across-devices-with-cloud-storage-rj94v/).

##### Creating a Favorite Folder

1. Tap the **File Browser** on the Top Menu:

2. Tap the **...** next to the folder you want to favorite, then tap **Add to Favorites**:

3. The folder icon now shows a star, indicating it's a Favorite:

4. The folder also appears at the top of the File Browser — and on the Home Screen if you're on iPad:

##### Tips for using Favorite Folders

* **Order** — Favorite Folders are listed in the order they were favorited. Most recent favorites appear at the top;
* **Rename** — if a Favorite Folder is moved or renamed in its main directory, the shortcut needs to be recreated;
* **Multiple devices** — Favorite Folder shortcuts are specific to each device. Favorites on iPad don't sync to iPhone, and vice versa.

##### Removing a Favorite Folder

To remove a Favorite Folder, tap the **...** next to the favorite, then tap **Remove**.

|| 📝 NOTE: Removing a Favorite does *not* delete the folder. To delete a folder and all of its file contents, navigate to its main directory, tap **...**, then **Delete**.
