# How do I use Stamps, and create Custom Stamps?

Scriptation comes with a library of built-in stamps and lets you design your own — a fast way to drop in repeated notes like scene markers or department labels.

##### Inserting stamps

On the [Annotation Toolbar](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/an-overview-of-the-annotation-toolbar-6jmhwg/), **touch or click** the **Stamp** icon:

The Stamps palette is displayed:

**Touch or click** the stamp you want and it's placed in the center of the page. **Touch / click + drag** to relocate it. Adjust the **Size** with the black bounding box and the **Angle** with the grey bounding tail at the bottom.

A palette of commands also appears:

* **Cut / Copy** — move or copy the stamp to another location;
* **Select More** — select the stamp and nearby annotations for batch commands;
* **Save** — save this stamp for re-use (an [Industry Pro](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/what-is-scriptation-industry-pro-1jfjecg/) feature);
* **Layer** — move or copy the stamp to different Layers;
* **Tag** — assign the stamp to a tag category;
* **Note** — embed a note in the stamp;
* **Trash** — remove the stamp from this layer.

Saved stamps are part of your [Saved Annotations](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/what-are-saved-annotations-and-how-do-i-use-them-1rerp7z/) set and can be accessed by tapping the Clipboard icon.

##### Custom Stamps

You can also create a **Custom Stamp**. Touch or click the **Stamps** icon, then select **Custom** at the top of the palette:

In the Create Stamp window, enter the **Note** (what the stamp will say), pick a **Color**, and toggle the **Date** and/or **Time** on or off. When you're ready, touch or click **Add** to place the custom stamp on the page.

To reuse this stamp later, touch or click **Save**. You can access it any time from the [Saved Annotations](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/what-are-saved-annotations-and-how-do-i-use-them-1rerp7z/) tool.
