# How do I use the Style Palette (Inspector)?

The **Style Palette** (also called the **Inspector**) is where you customize how an annotation looks after you've created it — its color, opacity, order, and type-specific attributes like font, line thickness, or arrowhead style.

After you've created an annotation — such as a [text marking](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-use-the-text-marking-tools-highlight-underline-squiggle-and-strikethrough-5i7wnp/), a [Text Box](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/typing-notes-with-text-boxes-and-callouts-1t835l5/), a [free drawing](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/free-write-or-draw-1lqyfn3/), or a [shape](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-can-i-draw-lines-arrows-and-shapes-d6rbk8/) — **touch or click** it and select **Inspector** from the palette:

Different annotation types offer different attributes. For example, a text annotation lets you set the font, a drawing lets you set the line thickness, and an arrow lets you set the arrowhead type.

Every annotation lets you set the **color**, the **opacity**, and the **order** (when annotations overlap). Each annotation's color scheme can be set by choosing from a number of customizable [color presets](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-create-color-presets-1qoybta/).
