# I'm a beta tester. How do I get started?

To install the Scriptation beta, tap the **TestFlight** link in your beta invite email, then tap **Install** (or **Update**) on the TestFlight screen. Your existing files and annotations are not affected.

Thank you so much for being a Scriptation beta tester. Your comments and expertise are what allow us to continuously develop and improve the app.

1. First, you'll receive an email inviting you to download the newest build. Tap the link to **TestFlight**.

2. Your download button will either say **Install** or **Update**. Tap the blue button.

3. If you receive a warning message — don't worry, everything is safe. This works just like an app update. Tap **Install**. Again, no app data will be deleted through this process.

4. Once the app is downloaded, tap **Open**.

5. With the beta installed, you can test out all of the new features. If you have feedback on the new build, you can submit that through one of the methods [here](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/im-a-beta-tester-how-do-i-submit-feedback-1h8n08l/).

| ✅ TIP: Should you need to return to the public App Store version because you're having an issue with the beta, no problem. Simply head back to the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/scriptation-pdf-for-film-tv/id1094587086) and tap the cloud download icon to reinstall Scriptation.
