# My AI Voices minutes didn't refresh after upgrading — how do I fix it?

**If you just upgraded your AI Voices tier and Scriptation still says you're out of minutes, fully quit and reopen the app.** This refreshes your usage counter to your new tier and restores playback right away.

### Step 1: Fully quit and reopen Scriptation

* **iPad or iPhone:** swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-tap the Home button) to open the App Switcher, then swipe Scriptation off the top of the screen to fully close it. Tap the Scriptation icon to reopen.
* **Mac:** right-click Scriptation in the Dock and choose **Quit** (or press ⌘ Q while Scriptation is active). Reopen Scriptation from your Applications folder or Dock.

|| 📝 NOTE: Simply closing the window on Mac, or backgrounding the app on iPad/iPhone, isn't enough — Scriptation has to fully quit for the counter to refresh.

Open your script and check the Voices panel. Your new tier's minutes should now be showing.

### Step 2: Still blocked? Contact support

If your minutes still aren't refreshing after restarting the app, use the **Send us an email** button at the bottom of this page. We can verify your upgrade with Apple and restore your minutes manually — usually within one business day.

Please include:

* The **tier you upgraded to**;
* Roughly **when you upgraded**;
* Your [User ID](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-find-my-user-id-or-device-id-for-support-153hpnt/) so we can locate your subscription.
