# What are Bookmarks and how can I use them?

Bookmarks help you navigate a script quickly — whether it's the top of a scene or a page you keep returning to, a Bookmark makes that spot easy to find again.

Bookmarks live on the right side of the [Top Toolbar](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/an-overview-of-the-top-toolbar-i5y1y8/).

To create your first bookmark, navigate to the page you'd like to bookmark.

|| 📝 NOTE: Unless it's set to always be visible, the Top Toolbar disappears when you swipe through your script. A single tap or click anywhere on the screen will [reveal the Top Toolbar](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-to-hidefind-the-top-toolbar-1issy8s/) again.

Once you've reached the page, **touch or click** the **Bookmark** icon. The icon darkens once the bookmark is made. You can add as many bookmarks as you'd like.

##### Managing bookmarks

In the **Outline** window you can review, add, reorder, rename, and delete bookmarks. Touch or click the **Outline** icon (the open book) on the Top Toolbar. The left tab shows the Bookmarks Outline; the right tab shows the [Annotation Outline](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/outline-viewing-and-searching-your-annotations-6opg9t/):

At the bottom left, the **+** icon adds a bookmark to the current page. At the bottom right, touch or click **Edit**:

* **Reorder** — touch / click and hold the **three-line** icon to the right of a bookmark name to drag it up or down;
* **Rename** — touch or click the bookmark name to edit it;
* **Delete** — touch or click the red circle to the left of the bookmark, then touch or click **Delete**.

When you're finished, touch or click **Done**.

##### Transferring bookmarks

You can transfer a set of bookmarks to a new draft. When doing a [Note Transfer](https://help.scriptation.com/en/article/how-do-i-transfer-my-notes-1khpcd8/), enable **Transfer Bookmarks**.
