Cloud Sync

Cloud connections are vital to keep notes in sync across your devices. Industry Pro supports Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, and CrooGloo, ensuring your files are secure, backed up, and easily accessible wherever you are.

Note Transfer

Our signature feature, Note Transfer, has four advanced Pro features.

Collate Pages integrates and transfers notes to new page packets;
Multi-Layer Transfer allows some or all of your note Layers to transfer simultaneously;
Bookmark Transfer moves your carefully-placed bookmarks into the new draft;
Compare Scripts generates a scene-by-scene breakdown of all the added, deleted, and changed text between drafts.

Facing Pages

Unlock the full potential of a digital workflow with Facing Pages. Customize your document by adding storyboards, set plans, shot lists, print logs, progress reports, and more.

Sides Creator

Sides Creator lets you select the scenes you need, organize them into shooting order, and distribute perfect sides to your team.

Layers: Show, hide, and share Layers

Layers enables you to keep multiple sets of notes in one PDF file. Production details, tagged elements, blocking ideas, and performance notes for actors can each have their own separate layer. Instead of juggling department-specific PDFs of the script, simply show or share certain layers with team members so everyone sees the notes they need to focus on. Create as many layers as you need, color-code them, delete the ones you’re done with, and hide the ones you don’t need today. There’s no better way to organize a production!

Saved Annotations

With Saved Annotations, create a custom library of your favorite stamps, icons, shapes, and images to use in all of your Scriptation files.

Tagging

Enter Tagging mode to identify what each department needs for every scene. Assign customizable categories to the annotation tools and then export that information into PDF or CSV reports. Tags transfer like every other annotation, so it’s the best way to track essential elements through every script revision.

Read, Rehearse, and Record

Read mode reads your script aloud so you can get a feel for the rhythm of the dialogue, the flow of the action, or hear if a scene is too long or too short. Choose which script elements (Scene Headings, Action, Character Names, etc.) are shown and voiced. You can even assign different voices to each character.

Rehearse mode is great for actors to quickly learn lines or run scenes out loud. Choose a character to rehearse as and Scriptation won’t read that character’s lines – so you can deliver them.

Record mode includes all the features of Rehearse mode, plus it uses your device’s camera and microphone to capture your performance. Do as many takes as you need, and by the time you’re finished you’ll have the perfect self-tape ready for your audition.

Advanced Auto-Highlight Customization

Automatically highlight scene headings, action lines, character names, and dialogue with fully customizable colors. Save specific colors for characters, which will be applied to any scripts they appear in – great for TV series with recurring roles. If you’re an actor who’s off-book, black out your character’s dialogue to focus on your performance.

Lining Tools

Script supervisors can track coverage and manage slates with instantly-generated tramlines. Powered by intelligent scene heading and character name recognition, Lining helps keep you stay organized and save lots of time and effort. It's the industry's best and fastest way to line scripts.

Analyze

Scriptation's AI-powered script analysis tool compares a script's original and revised versions. It generates a scene-by-scene report summarizing the most impactful changes between them, from minor dialogue tweaks to new props, and even discerns subtle tonal shifts between drafts. This AI-generated summary streamlines your workflow and saves time flipping between drafts to understand what has changed.
