How do I move or copy multiple files and folders?

To move or copy several files into a folder on iPad or iPhone, use the File Browser's Select mode to pick multiple items, then tap Copy or Move.


📝 NOTE: This video shows a slightly older user interface but the instructions are still accurate.

  1. Tap the File Browser on the Top Menu:



  1. Tap ..., then tap Select:



  1. Tap the checkboxes next to the files or folders you want:



  1. With your selection made, tap Copy or Move;


⚠️ HEADS UP: When working with cloud providers on iPad and iPhone, Move is limited to single files. To relocate multiple files and folders to the cloud, use Copy instead.


  1. Navigate to the new location and tap Select:



Your files have been copied or moved.
