How do I rename my file or folder?

To rename a file or folder in Scriptation, use the three-dot menu in the File Browser on iPad or iPhone, or right-click the file on Mac.


iPad / iPhone


  1. Tap the File Browser on the Top Menu:



  1. Tap the ... icon to the right of the filename, then tap Rename:



  1. Type your new file name and tap Rename:



  1. The file is renamed:



Mac


  1. From the Home Screen or Sidebar, tap Select File:



  1. Navigate to your file. Right-click the file, then click Rename:



  1. Type the new name, then tap Open:



📝 NOTE: On Scriptation for Mac, files and folders aren't stored within the app itself — they live on your hard drive or in your cloud service.
