Can I change Scriptation's language?

You can change the language Scriptation runs in on iPad, iPhone, or Mac. Both platforms also let you run Scriptation in a different language than the rest of your system, using a per-app override.

✅ TIP: Not sure which languages Scriptation supports? See What languages is Scriptation available in? for the full list of supported languages and the countries each one covers.

On iPad or iPhone — set Scriptation to a different language than your system

iOS lets you set a per-app language so Scriptation runs in a different language than the rest of your device.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPad or iPhone;
  2. Scroll down and tap Apps, then Scriptation;
  3. Tap Language (or Preferred Language);
  4. Choose a language from the list — Scriptation will switch automatically.

✅ TIP: This is handy if your iPad is in English but you'd rather see Scriptation's interface in French, Portuguese, or Spanish — or vice versa.

On iPad or iPhone — change the whole system language

If you'd rather change the whole device to a new language (so every app switches together), go to Settings → General → Language & Region. See Apple's instructions for the full walkthrough.

On Mac — set Scriptation to a different language than your system

Mac lets you run Scriptation in a different language than the rest of macOS using a per-app override.

  1. Open System Settings (Apple menu → System Settings);
  2. Click General → Language & Region in the sidebar;
  3. Scroll down to the Applications section;
  4. Click the + icon, select Scriptation, then choose a language from the dropdown beside the app name;
  5. Restart Scriptation for the change to take effect.

To revert, return to the same Applications section, select Scriptation, and click the icon — or pick a different language from its dropdown.

✅ TIP: This is handy if your Mac is in English but you'd rather see Scriptation's interface in French, Portuguese, or Spanish — or vice versa.

On Mac — change the whole system language

If you'd rather change the whole system to a new language (so every app switches together), see Apple's instructions for changing the Mac system language.
