Current Version and System Requirements

Scriptation is regularly updated with new features, fixes, and improvements — so it's worth keeping the app up to date. Here's how to check which version you're running, and how to make sure you're on the latest.


Check your version


Scriptation 6.0 and later


  1. Tap the three-dot menu () at the top-right of the screen and choose Settings;
  2. The current version is displayed in the bottom-left corner of the Settings modal.



Scriptation 5.1.16 and earlier


Tap or click the File Browser:



At the bottom of the sidebar, you'll see the version information:



iPhone / iPad


The current version of Scriptation is 6.0.0 and requires iOS 16 or later. All versions of Scriptation 5.1.1 and later are compatible with iOS 26.


To update, go to the App Store and tap Update.


To enable automatic updates, open Settings and go to Apps → App Store, then switch App Updates to on:



📝 NOTE: Scriptation will discontinue support for iOS 16 in the near future. If your device is running iOS 16, please consider updating it before then.


Mac


The current version of Scriptation is 6.0.0 and requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later.


To update, go to the Scriptation page in the App Store and click Update.


To enable automatic updates, open the App Store. In the top toolbar, click App Store, then Settings (or Preferences, depending on your macOS version), and make sure Automatic Updates is checked.
