Where are my files stored? (iPad, iPhone)

Scriptation stores files on your device by default, in the On My iPad / On My iPhone folder. You can also connect Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, or OneDrive to access files across devices. On a Mac? See Where are my files stored on Mac?

Default: On My iPad / iPhone

To see your files, tap the File Browser — the three-line icon at the top-left of the screen.

The default save location is Scriptation's On My iPad / iPhone folder.

📝 NOTE: Files in On My iPad / iPhone only appear in Scriptation's File Browser, not in the iOS Files app. If you can't find a file, check this folder first, then Recent Files, then Recently deleted in the File Browser's ⋯ menu.

✅ TIP: The File Browser search only looks at filenames in the folder you have open. If you can't find a file, search in your cloud provider's app or website, then follow the same folder path in Scriptation.

Connecting to Cloud Storage

Scriptation has built-in support for Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, and OneDrive.

iCloud is built into iPadOS and iOS, so it's already set up. To add Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive:

Open the File Browser;
Tap Add Connection;
Sign in to your account in the window that opens.

✅ TIP: You can also manage your iCloud Scriptation files in the iOS Files app under iCloud Drive → Scriptation.
