How do I change the page appearance to Sepia or Night?

Scriptation has three script background modes — Default, Sepia, and Night — that let you change how your script looks on screen without changing the underlying file. Switch between them from the Settings modal.

📝 NOTE: This video shows a slightly older user interface, but the instructions are still accurate.

Switching modes

  1. Tap the three-dot menu () at the top-right of the screen and choose Settings;
  2. Open the General tab;
  3. Under View Settings, tap Appearance and choose Default, Sepia, or Night.

📝 NOTE: Screen Appearance only changes how the script looks on screen — it doesn't affect how the script looks if you print it.

Going fully dark

Night Mode changes the script background but leaves Scriptation's toolbars and tabs in their default colors. To make Scriptation go dark all over, pair Night Mode with Apple's Dark Mode:
