An Overview of the Settings Menu

Meet the Settings Menu



As you discover how you work best within Scriptation, you can always customize the interface from within the Settings menu.

To access Settings, tap the File Browser.



At the bottom of the window, tap Settings, and the Settings menu appears.



What do all these options mean? Let's go through them from the top.





Page Mode


Single - Shows one page at a time, regardless of how you hold the device.
Double - Shows two pages simultaneously, regardless of how you hold the device.
Automatic - Changes with your device configuration. When you hold the device in Portrait, it's Single. When you hold the device in Landscape, it's Double.


Scroll


Vertical - Move between pages by swiping up / down.
Horizontal - Move between pages by swiping left/right.


Page Transition


Jump - Views one full page at a time.
Continuous - Allows partial view of pages as you swipe through the script.
Curl - Animates the page turn as if you were turning a page in a binder!


Page Fitting


Fit - A full script page will be displayed regardless of screen orientation. You might have to zoom in to make notes.
Fill - A full script page fills the width of the screen at all times. You might have to scroll up / down to make notes.
Adaptive - Changes with device configuration. When you hold the device in Portrait, it's Fit. In Landscape, it's Fill.


Appearance



Default - Keeps the screen bright and the script background white.
Sepia - Adjusts coloring to a warmer sepia tone.
Night - Adjust the script background to black while the text and annotations are inverted.

Thumbnails



Floating - A condensed and taller thumbnail display.
Docked - An expanded and shorter thumbnail display.
None - Disables the thumbnail bar entirely, only displaying the page number.


Author Name



Author Name - Change your name, independent from Apple settings. This setting controls your default layer name.


Preferences



Natural Drawing - Enables the annotation option for more expressive writing.
Extended Zoom Out - Enabled the view option to zoom out farther than the page margins
Hide Tutorials - Disables the "Tutorials" links on the Home Screen.
Hide Library - Disables the "Library" files in the File Browser
Thumbnail Icon - Displays a generic File icon instead of a preview of the top page of a document. This setting can improve memory usage on older devices.



Industry Pro



Upgrade - For upgrading individuals to Scriptation Industry Pro.
Team - For activating a Team, Team Studio, or manually activating an Enterprise license.
Team Admin - For administrative control of certain Team Studio licenses.

Contact Us - Open your default email client and start an email to contact our support team. The email will automatically include pertinent device and Scriptation version information.

Device ID



Device ID - Displays a unique device identifier for troubleshooting.

Trash, Version Number, & Notification Center



Trash - Find items deleted from On my iPad/iPhone and some cloud providers here.
Version Number - Displays the current version of Scriptaton you are using.
Notification Center - A red bell indicates you have a new notification from Scriptation.
