How can I quickly move through my script?

The fastest way to move through your script is by using the Thumbnail Bar. By default, a row of page thumbnails appears at the bottom of the screen — touch or click and drag across the thumbnails to jump to any page.

💡 TIP: Want to adjust or hide the Thumbnail Bar? See How do I adjust or disable the Thumbnail Bar? for the full walkthrough, or scroll down to the Thumbnails setting below.

📝 NOTE: Don't see the Thumbnail Bar? Just like the Top Toolbar, touch or click anywhere on the script to make it appear / disappear.

Page Navigation Settings

The page navigation settings live in the Settings Menu. Touch or click the three-dot menu () at the top right, then select Settings. In the Settings modal, go to the General tab.

From here, you can adjust Page Mode, Scroll Direction, Page Transition, Page Fitting, and Thumbnails — let's take a closer look at each. You'll surely discover the presets that work for you!

Page Mode

  • Single — Shows 1 page at a time, regardless of how you're holding the device;
  • Double — Shows 2 pages at a time, regardless of how you're holding the device;
  • Automatic — Changes with your device configuration. When the device is held in Portrait, it's Single. When the device is held in Landscape, it's Double.

Scroll

  • Vertical — Move between pages by swiping up / down;
  • Horizontal — Move between pages by swiping left / right.

Page Transition

  • Jump — Views 1 full page at a time;
  • Continuous — Allows partial view of pages as you swipe through the script;
  • Curl — Animates the page turn as if you were turning a page in a binder!

💡 TIP: The fastest way to swipe through your script on iOS is by setting Page Transition to Continuous.

Page Fitting

  • Fit — A full script page will be displayed regardless of screen orientation. You might have to zoom in to make notes;
  • Fill — A full script page fills the width of the screen at all times. You might have to scroll up / down to make notes;
  • Adaptive — Changes with device configuration. When the device is held in Portrait, it's Fit. In Landscape, it's Fill.

Thumbnails

  • Floating — A condensed and taller thumbnail display;
  • Docked — An expanded and shorter thumbnail display;
  • None — Disables the thumbnail bar entirely, only displaying the page number.
