How do I open files on Mac?

The easiest way to open files in Scriptation for Mac is to click Select File on the home screen — a Mac File Finder window opens for you to choose your PDF. You can also go to File > Open in the menu bar, use drag and drop, or right-click a PDF in Finder and choose Open with… Scriptation.

📝 NOTE: This video shows an older user interface, and some of the exact steps may have changed.

Opening with drag and drop

Drag a PDF from your Desktop, Downloads, or any Finder window directly onto Scriptation's home screen to open it.

Opening a PDF directly from Finder

If you'd like to open a file directly from your Downloads, Desktop, cloud storage, or any other folder, right-click the file (or tap with two fingers on the trackpad) and select Open with… then Scriptation.

If Scriptation doesn't appear as an option, click Other to select Scriptation from your complete list of Applications.

Making PDFs open in Scriptation by default

If you'd like to double-click on a PDF and have it open in Scriptation, click Other (shown above), choose Scriptation, then check the Always Open With box. All PDF files now automatically open in Scriptation.
