How do I override device permissions on Scriptation Enterprise?
📝 NOTE: This article applies to Scriptation Enterprise — the subscription tier for studios managing devices, permissions, and onboarding at scale. The free and Industry Pro consumer tiers don't include a web-based Admin Portal.
As an Enterprise Admin, you can override the permissions set at Enterprise or Production level for any individual device — useful when one user on a locked-down production needs an exception.
Opening a device's permissions
- Sign in to the Enterprise Admin Portal.
- Click Productions in the side menu.

- Click the production name that contains the device you want to override.

- In the row of the device, click the three dots (⋯) under the Actions column.

- Click Permissions.

Overriding a permission
- Under the permission you want to override, click Override.

- Click Yes, override!

- Click Save, then OK.

Un-overriding a permission
To send a device back to following the broader Enterprise or Production settings:
- Follow steps 1–5 above to open the device's permissions.
- Under the permission you want to un-override, click Un-override.

- Click Yes, un-override!

- Click Save, then OK.
