How do I use multitasking and Split View on iPad?
On iPad, Scriptation supports multitasking so you can run it alongside other apps — script + side notes, script + breakdown software, script + cloud storage. How you arrange the windows depends on your iPadOS version.
iPadOS 26 and later
iPadOS 26 introduced a new windowing system that replaces the older three-dot multitasking menu. Each app window now has traffic-light controls (close, minimize, zoom) in the top-left corner — similar to Mac windows.
To put Scriptation side by side with another app:
- With Scriptation open, tap and hold the green zoom button at the top-left of the window.
- Choose Tile Left or Tile Right to snap Scriptation to one side of the screen.
- The opposite side opens to your app selector. Tap the other app you want to use.
- Drag the divider between windows to adjust the split.
iPadOS 18 and earlier
If you're on iPadOS 18 or any earlier version, Scriptation supports the older three-dot multitasking menu at the top of every app.
