Using the Apple Pencil on iPad

To make the most out of Scriptation on iPad, we recommend connecting an Apple Pencil.

Depending on your specific iPad model, your device would be compatible with one of the two genuine Apple Pencils. Both work great with Scriptation!

iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later)
iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later)
iPad Air (4th generation and later)
iPad mini (6th generation)

1st Generation

Compatible with:
iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st and 2nd generation)
iPad Pro 10.5-inch
iPad Pro 9.7-inch
iPad Air (3rd generation)
iPad (6th generation and later)
iPad mini (5th generation)

Connecting the Apple Pencil

To connect your pencil to your iPad, tap the Apple Settings icon.

Then select Bluetooth, and tap Connect for your Apple Pencil.

When it's all setup, the window will show Connected.

Within Scriptation, you will now have an Apple Pencil icon on your Annotation Bar.

When tapping on the Apple Pencil icon, you can toggle on/off use of your Apple Pencil.

What about a 3rd party Stylus?

Scriptation doesn't officially support any 3rd party stylus. However, your stylus absolutely might work, as more and more of the 3rd party hardware is doing a better job of connecting with Apple.

Many users have had success with this model.

Check out our Free Trial in the App Store, and give your stylus a try!
