Scriptation on my Mac crashes on launch

We take pride in Scriptation being a stable and thoroughly tested app, but every so often a crash happens.

Start by checking the App Store to see if there's an update available. If there is, install it and see if that takes care of the problem.

If you're experiencing a crash when opening Scriptation for Mac, there may be an issue with one of the files in the Recent Files list.

Open a Finder window;

Press Cmd + Shift + G, or go to the top menu and click Go > Go to folder;

Copy this string, including the ~ and the /:

~/Library/Containers/com.scriptation.Scriptation-Studio

Paste it into the text field (Cmd + V) and press the Return key:

Move the Data folder to the Trash:

Once this folder has been deleted, the Recent Files list will be cleared and Scriptation should open.

NOTE: This just clears the Recent Files list -- none of the files are actually deleted. The files can be re-opened in Scriptation by tapping Select File and accessed from their storage location.
