Are there discounts for industry unions, guilds, or professional organizations?

Yes — many industry unions, guilds, and professional organizations have teamed up with Scriptation to offer their members discounts on Industry Pro, our premium subscription.

If you're a member of any of the organizations listed below, check your member benefits or contact your organization's member services or benefits department for more information.

📝 NOTE: Organization discounts are available for one-time use to first-time Scriptation subscribers only. Union discounts may not be combined with other offers (union or otherwise). Discount codes also can't be applied retroactively to an existing subscription — if you already subscribed before learning about a discount, you'd need to cancel and resubscribe using the code, and any refund on your current subscription would need to be requested through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How to redeem your discount

IATSE members: Fill out the form at scriptation.com/IATSE — the 20% discount code will be emailed to you automatically. There are no codes distributed by locals; the discount is applied through this form. This drops the price of your first year of Industry Pro from $119.99/yr to $99.99/yr (pricing may vary by region/currency).

SAG-AFTRA members: Sign up at scriptation.com/SAGAFTRA.

DGA members: Sign up at scriptation.com/DGA.

DGC members: Sign up at scriptation.com/DGC and fill out the short form. You'll receive a discount code by email along with a redemption link — click the link to redeem the code in the App Store. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

Other organizations: Check your union or guild's member benefits portal, or contact their member services/benefits department, for a promo code. Once you have a code, redeem it using these steps.

Important limitations

  • These discounts are introductory offers for first-time Industry Pro subscribers only. If you've ever had an Industry Pro subscription or free trial on your Apple ID — even if you cancelled before it converted to paid — Apple will flag your account as "not eligible," and the promo code won't be redeemable.
  • If you run into a "not eligible" error and this is genuinely your first Industry Pro subscription, contact Scriptation support — we can generate a one-time custom redemption link that bypasses the restriction.
  • If the sign-up form doesn't email you a code, or the emailed code is refused (often because you've previously subscribed or trialed on your Apple ID, even after cancelling), contact Scriptation support directly. We can send you a direct App Store redemption link (looks like https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=...&code=...) that you open on your iPhone or iPad to apply the 20% discount right away.
  • Organizations/locals don't need to distribute individual codes to their members — you can simply share the relevant sign-up link (e.g., scriptation.com/IATSE) via your newsletter, website, or member benefits portal, and each member requests their own code automatically through the form.
  • Renewing subscribers (i.e., not on your first year) can also reach out to support, and we may be able to offer a one-time 20% discount for your next year as a courtesy.
  • If you already have an active subscription, an organization discount code may not redeem right away since it's for first-time subscribers. In that case, reach out to support before your current subscription ends so we can set you up with another code once it's time to renew.
  • If you're already on a promotional or discounted rate (for example, from a past offer) that matches or exceeds the union/guild discount, redeeming a new code won't lower your price any further — your existing rate will simply continue until its renewal date.
  • If our standard annual pricing has increased since you first subscribed, your existing subscription may be grandfathered at your original (lower) rate. In that case, it's best to keep your current subscription as-is rather than cancel and re-subscribe through a new discount link, since re-subscribing would put you on the new, higher standard price (even with the discount applied).
