Can I customize my Tagging categories?

Yes! Scriptation lets you fully customize your Tagging category list — add custom categories, change colors, hide categories you don't use, reorder them, and rename or delete any custom categories you've created. You can also share your customized set across your own devices or with collaborators.

Opening Tagging Customization

In Scriptation 6.0 and later

In 6.0, two paths lead to the same place — the Tagging tab in Settings. Pick whichever is easier from where you are:

Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) at the top-right of the screen, select Settings, and go to the Tagging tab;
Or, enter Tagging Mode from the Top Toolbar and tap Customize — this also opens the Settings modal at the Tagging tab.

What You Can Customize

Add, rename, reorder, or delete categories — see Can I add my own categories in Tagging?;

📝 NOTE: Default categories can be recolored, reordered, and hidden, but they can't be renamed or deleted. Only custom categories you've added can be renamed or deleted.
