How do I deactivate or reactivate devices on Scriptation Enterprise?

📝 NOTE: This article applies to Scriptation Enterprise — the subscription tier for studios managing devices, permissions, and onboarding at scale. The free and Industry Pro consumer tiers don't include a web-based Admin Portal.

Enterprise Admins and Production Admins can instantly deactivate or reactivate any device's access to Scriptation Enterprise from the Admin Portal — handy when a device is lost or stolen, a crew member leaves, or a production wraps and you're cleaning up.

A deactivated device loses access to every document on the Enterprise immediately. The user can't open files, sync layers, or use Live Layers. Reactivating restores access just as quickly.

Deactivating a device

  1. Sign in to the Enterprise Admin Portal.

  1. Click Productions in the side menu.

  1. Click the production name containing the device.

  1. In the row of the device, toggle OFF the switch under the Active column.

  1. Confirm you want to deactivate the device.

  1. Click OK.

The device is now deactivated and won't have access to any documents in Scriptation Enterprise.

Reactivating a device

Follow steps 1–3 above, then:

  1. In the row of the device, toggle ON the switch under the Active column.

  1. Confirm you want to activate the device.

  1. Click OK.

The device is now reactivated.
