How do I activate a Team license?

To activate a Scriptation Team license, enter the License Type and License Key under Settings → Account → Team on each device. You'll find both in your receipt email or on the Licenses page of the Team Admin Portal.


Activating Your License


  1. Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) at the top-right of the Top Toolbar and select Settings;
  2. Go to the Account tab;
  3. Under Team, tap Log in;



📝 NOTE: On Scriptation 5.1.16 or earlier, open the File Browser (☰) → Settings, then tap Team in the Industry Pro section.


  1. Select your License Type from the menu;



  1. Enter your License Key and tap OK;



📝 NOTE: The License Key field is case-sensitive. Enter it exactly as it appears in your receipt email.


  1. Scriptation will validate your license.


📝 NOTE: You'll need to repeat this process on each device.


Team Studio licenses


⚠️ HEADS UP: Scriptation has discontinued the Team Studio plan. Existing Team Studio plans have been grandfathered and remain active. Productions that need advanced security, share control, or encryption should see What is Scriptation Enterprise?


Activating Team Studio follows the same steps, with two differences: select Team Studio as the License Type, and restart the app afterward to turn on Studio Mode.


  1. After your license is validated, tap Close app;



  1. Reopen Scriptation;
  2. Tap Start now.



Studio Mode is now on. Files you saved before activating won't appear here, because Team Studio keeps its encrypted storage separate. See How do I migrate personal files into my Team Studio account?


Team Admin Portal


As the Team purchaser, sign in to the Team Admin Portal to copy your License Key, see which devices are activated, and manage billing. The portal uses a dedicated Username and Password — not your email address — so if it isn't recognizing you, check the Username in your welcome email.


📝 NOTE: On a standard Team license, sharing is already turned on, so you won't be asked for a Team Admin Code. That prompt only applies to Team Studio. See What is Team Admin and how can I access it?
