How do I get feedback on my Scriptation Showcase submission?
If you submitted a screenplay, teleplay pilot, or short script to the Scriptation Showcase Script Competition, here's what to expect regarding feedback.
Standard submissions
By default, we don't send individual reader notes for every submission. If your script advances or is discussed further, we may share brief highlights from readers (for example, comments on character dynamics or pacing), but full written coverage is not provided unless you've added the Annotated Feedback option at the time of submission.
Annotated Feedback
Annotated Feedback is an add-on option where a reader makes notes directly on your script (as PDF annotations) and provides a written summary of in-depth coverage. If you purchased this option:
- Feedback is typically delivered around the Quarter-finalist announcement, though it can sometimes arrive earlier.
- You'll receive an email with a Reader Notes PDF and your script with annotations. These files can be opened in any PDF reader — if you have trouble viewing the annotations, try opening them with the free version of Scriptation.
- If you don't see the email, check your spam folder, or use the Send us an email button at the bottom of this page and we can resend the files to you.
Announcement schedule
Official rounds are announced on the Scriptation Showcase blog.
The Screenplay/Short Script and Teleplay Pilot categories each have their own announcement dates each season — check your submission confirmation email or the Scriptation Showcase: Announcement Dates and Results article for the specific dates for your entry.
