How do I remove Auto-Tag Cast tags?

Auto-Tag Cast is a fast way to tag every character in every scene at once — but if you change your mind after running it, you'll want a fast way to remove it too. There isn't yet a one-click "Remove All Auto-Tags" option, but there are two solid workarounds.

📝 NOTE: Tagging is an Industry Pro feature.

💡 TIP: The Undo button doesn't reverse Auto-Tag Cast — use one of the workarounds below instead.

The fastest way to remove a batch of auto-tagged Cast tags is from the Annotations list:

  1. Tap the Bookmark icon in the Top Toolbar to open the outline view;
  2. Switch to the Annotations tab;
  3. Swipe each Cast tag to delete it. The list updates as you go.

✅ TIP: The Annotations list shows every annotation in your script, so deleting from there is much faster than finding and tapping each tag on the script pages.

Option 2: Delete the Layer (If the Layer Is Only Auto-Tags)

If the Auto-Tag Cast tags are the only annotations on the layer, you can wipe them all out by deleting the layer:

  1. Touch or click the Layers icon in the Top Toolbar;
  2. Tap Add Layer to create a new blank layer — name it anything you'd like;
  3. Select the new layer so it becomes your active layer;
  4. Tap the three-dot menu () in the Layers panel, then Edit;
  5. Delete the layer that contains the auto-tags;
  6. Tap Done.

📝 NOTE: This option deletes everything on that layer — not just the Cast tags. Only use it if the auto-tags are the only annotations you want gone.
