Using Auto-Highlight in Sides
NOTE: Page Maker and Sides Creator are Industry Pro features.
To better understand Sides, it's important to know how Scriptation interprets pages. There are two type of pages:
Native: Official script pages, in their imported order.
Inserted / Added: User-created pages, such as Sides, Facing Pages, and Copy/Paste pages.
After using the Sides Tool, the PDF is by default comprised entirely of Inserted / Added Pages. This is designed to allow maximum flexibility with your note-taking and re-ordering of pages into shooting order.
However, Auto-Highlight only reads the text of Native pages only. Using Lock mode will enable this feature for Sides.
In your sides file, touch or click the Facing Pages tool:
Touch or click Edit:
Touch or click + drag pages to move them into the desired order:
After your pages are in the correct order, touch or click Lock. Locking sides ensures that Scriptation recognizes your entire sides file as "native" script pages.
TIP: If you need to rearrange your pages later, touch or click Unlock to move them.
When you're done, touch or click Save.
Once sides are locked, they can't be moved or rearranged without first Unlocking the pages.
In your sides file, touch or click the Facing Pages tool:
Touch or click Edit:
Touch or click Unlock:
Then touch or click tap + drag each page to move them into the revised order:
TIP: Tap Lock if you want to re-enable Auto-Highlighting.
When you're done, touch or click Save.
