How do I merge or combine two documents?

All Added pages can be reordered in the Page Manager with a simple touch / click + drag. This includes Facing Pages and pages that were copied and pasted.

Native pages (official script pages, in their imported order) can't be rearranged in most situations — Scriptation relies on them staying in order so Note Transfer and other tools can work correctly.

That said, here are the situations where you may need to rearrange Native pages — and how to do it safely:

1. You received revised pages only and not the fully collated script

Use Collate Pages, which integrates your new pages, transfers your annotations, and automatically deletes the old pages. You don't have to manually rearrange anything when using Collate Pages.

2. Inserted pages can no longer be rearranged

Very rarely, Inserted pages get mismarked as Native. If this happens, use Master Edit Mode to reassign them as Inserted. After reassignment, you'll be able to rearrange them.

3. Other situations don't apply but pages need to be rearranged

Use Master Edit Mode. This admin-level mode lets you reassign Native pages to Inserted, which makes them movable.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: We recommend rearranging pages only on documents that you don't need to use for Note Transfer again.
