Creating, Renaming and Deleting Folders

Scriptation folders let you organize your scripts, call sheets, schedules, and production documents in one place. Create, rename, and delete folders from the File Browser on iPad or iPhone.

📝 NOTE: This video shows a slightly older user interface but the instructions are still accurate.

To get started, tap the three-bar File Browser icon at the upper left of the screen:

Creating a New Folder

Tap the three-dot icon at the upper right of the panel:

Tap New Folder:

✅ TIP: Industry Pro users with connected cloud accounts can manage folders within those cloud accounts. Select a connection before tapping the three-dot icon.

Type the folder name and tap Save:

The new folder appears in your File Browser:

⚠️ HEADS UP: Folders created in Scriptation aren't available in the Files app or other file-browsing apps. They're only accessible through Scriptation.

Adding Subfolders

Select the parent folder (in this example, "Episode 101");

Tap the three-dot icon at the upper right;

Tap New Folder:

Name the folder and tap Save:

The subfolder appears inside the parent:

Editing Folders

Tap the three-dot icon next to any folder to display folder management options:

Rename — replace the folder's current name;
Move / Copy — relocate or duplicate this folder. To relocate multiple files and folders, see How to copy or move files and folders;
Add to Favorites — places a shortcut to this folder in the Favorites section of the File Browser. See How do I use Favorite Folders?;
Delete — removes the folder from the File Browser.

⚠️ HEADS UP: Any files in a deleted folder will also be deleted.
