Inserting photos and images into your script

With Scriptation, you can insert reference photos, floor plans, and storyboards directly into your script using the Image tool.

📝 NOTE: This video shows a slightly older user interface, but the instructions are still accurate.

Start by tapping the Image icon on the Annotation Toolbar.

Select Camera to take a photo, or Photo Library to choose from images already stored on your device.

📝 NOTE: Photos taken with the in-app Camera do not save to your device's Photo Library, due to operating system restrictions. To keep a copy in your Photo Library — or to save/share it outside Scriptation — take the photo with your device's native camera first, then import it from Photo Library.

Once you've selected your image, crop it to the framing you want, then tap Done.

With the image placed, you can Scale it with the bounding box, Move it by tapping and holding, or attach a Note. You can also Copy and Paste the image, change its layer by tapping Layers, or Delete it with the trash icon.

✅ TIP: For Industry Pro users, tapping Save turns your image into a Saved Annotation for ongoing use.
