I'm a Team / Team Studio Administrator. How do I deactivate a device?

How do I deactivate a device using a Team or Team Studio License Key?

As a Team or Team Studio administrator, you may want to deactivate a device to allow that activation to be used on a different device or for a different user. Or, perhaps to remove an activation from a device that was lost or is no longer used.

Here’s what you need to know…

What is a Device ID?

The Device ID is the unique 12 digit code that is the last 12 digits of a devices Hardware ID, and can be used to identify a device in the Team Admin Portal.

How do I find the Device ID?

When using a Team or Team Studio License Key, the ability to view the Device ID appears at the bottom of the Settings menu.

To access Settings, tap the File Browser. Then, at the bottom of the window, tap Settings, and the Settings menu appears.

Upon scrolling all the way to the bottom of the Settings menu, you will see Device ID.

Tapping or clicking on this will display the individual Device ID, and provide an option to Copy the ID.

How do I deactivate a device once I know the Device ID?

Go to your account section of the Team portal in a web browser. Information on how to access this was provided in the confirmation email upon setting up your Team or Team Studio account.

Navigate to View Licenses and then Manage Sites.

To deactivate a device, find the row that matches the last 10 digits of the Site URL to the intended Device ID and click Deactivate Site.
