How do I include dialogue numbering (and other info layers) in my Editor Exports?

Info Layers like Dialogue Numbers aren't included in Editor Exports by default. To export one, duplicate the Info Layer in the Layers panel, merge the copy into your first Lining layer, then run your Editor Export.

Why Info Layers aren't in Editor Exports

Editor Export only includes content on Lining layers (Lining, Lining 2, etc.). Info Layers are generated automatically and regenerate when your script changes, so they aren't part of any layer until you duplicate them into an editable copy.

Adding an Info Layer to your Editor Export

Tap Layers on the Top Toolbar;

Under Info Layers, tap the boxed plus icon ([ + ]) next to the layer you want (for example, Dialogue Numbers), then tap Yes when asked to Copy Info Layer;

The editable copy appears under My Layers as your active layer, and the auto-generated version is turned off. Merge the copy into your first Lining layer — see How do I merge notes layers into lining layers?;
Run your Editor Export as usual.

That's it! The Info Layer content is now part of your Lining layer, so it appears in the export.

⚠️ HEADS UP: Merging can't be undone, and merged numbers won't update if the script changes. If revisions are still coming, delete the outdated merged numbers and repeat these steps for each new draft. To include an Info Layer in more than one Lining layer, make a separate copy for each Lining layer before merging.

✅ TIP: Changing an Info Layer's settings after you duplicate it only changes the auto-generated version, not your copy. To export updated styling, duplicate the Info Layer again.

Exporting other Info Layers

The same steps work for any Info Layer:

Dialogue Numbers — line numbers next to each line of dialogue;
8th Page Counts — scene length in eighths of a page;
Large Scene Numbers — oversized scene numbers for quick reference;
Scene Dividers — visual separators between scenes;
Revision Colors — color blocks for revision pages.
