How do I remove Tagging data from my Sides?

When you create sides from a script that has Tagging data, the tagging annotations will carry over into the new sides file — even if the Tagging layer was hidden in the original script. Because the sides file only has one layer, you won't be able to toggle it off right away.

Thankfully, there's a quick workaround to remove the tagging data from your sides.

📝 NOTE: Tagging and Sides are Industry Pro features.

How to Remove the Tagging Layer from Sides

  1. Open your sides file;
  2. Touch or click the Layers icon in the Top Toolbar;
  3. Touch or click Add Layer to create a new blank layer — you can name it anything;
  4. Select the new layer so it becomes your active layer;
  5. Touch or click the three-dot menu () in the Layers panel, then select Edit;
  6. Delete the original layer that contains the tagging data;
  7. Touch or click Done.

And that's all there is to it! Your sides will now be completely clean, with just the blank layer ready for your annotations.

💡 TIP: This workaround works because the Sides tool carries over all layer data from the original script, regardless of whether the layer is visible. Creating a second layer lets you switch your active layer and then delete the one with tagging.
