How to stop the Restore/Delete Pop-up from reappearing.
Moved or renamed a file outside of Scriptation, and now the Restore / Delete pop-up won't stop appearing? Here's how to fix it.
If you moved, renamed, or reorganized a cloud-stored script using Finder, the Files app, or another device, Scriptation may repeatedly show a pop-up asking you to Restore or Delete every time you open the file. This can happen because Scriptation's locally saved copy no longer matches what your cloud provider (like iCloud) has stored — and the mismatch keeps triggering the alert.
How to fix the loop
- When the pop-up appears, tap Keep Current;
- Once the file opens, make a small edit (even just adding and removing a mark);
- Go back to the File Browser and navigate to where the file is stored in your cloud folder;
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the file name and select Sync to Cloud;

That should break the loop and get the file back in sync with your cloud provider. Repeat these steps for each file that's giving you the pop-up.
If that doesn't do the trick
- Close and relaunch Scriptation entirely;
- Restart your device — sometimes iCloud needs a nudge to fully sync the updated file path;
- Make a copy of the file within Scriptation and then delete the old version. This gives Scriptation a clean starting point for that file.
How to avoid this in the future
To prevent this from happening again, try to move, rename, or reorganize your scripts from within Scriptation rather than from Finder, the Files app, or another device. When changes are made inside the app, Scriptation keeps everything in sync automatically.
