Sync Scriptation files across your iPad, iPhone, and Mac through your existing iCloud account β no extra sign-in required, since you're already logged in via your Apple ID.
π NOTE: This video shows a slightly older user interface, but the instructions are still accurate.
β
TIP: Although iCloud works well, Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive offer version-controlled saving, which creates a new restorable copy after every save. iCloud doesn't offer this backup.
π NOTE: Cloud Storage is an Industry Pro feature.
iPad / iPhone setup
- Tap the File Browser on the Top Toolbar:

- Under Connections, tap iCloud. You're already logged in to the iCloud account associated with your device's Apple ID;
β
TIP: If you don't know which Apple ID is signed in, open the Apple Settings app to check.

- Move or copy your local files into iCloud. This creates automatic backups in case anything happens to your device.
π NOTE: Move is limited to single files. To relocate multiple files or folders, use Copy.

π NOTE: Files stored in On My iPad / On My iPhone only exist on that device and are NOT synced to iCloud.
Mac setup
- Click the three-bar icon at the upper left of the screen to open the File Browser;
- Click Select Fileβ¦

- A Finder window opens. Navigate to iCloud β Scriptation to access the Scriptation documents stored in your iCloud account:

β οΈ IMPORTANT: Scriptation automatically creates a Scriptation subfolder inside iCloud Drive. Only files inside that Scriptation subfolder sync to your iOS devices.
β οΈ DON'T FORGET: If your scripts are saved locally (Desktop, Downloads, etc.), you won't be able to access them on other devices. Move the files into iCloud's Scriptation subfolder.
