How can I change the email associated with my Scriptation account?
Scriptation doesn't have a separate email/password account system for the free and Industry Pro tiers — access is tied entirely to your Apple ID, not to an email address you set inside the app. Because of this, "changing your email" really means changing which Apple ID is signed in on your device.
Individual (Industry Pro) subscriptions
The simplest option is to keep your Apple ID and change its email address with Apple — your subscription stays exactly where it is, and future receipts go to the new address. See Apple's guide to change your Apple Account email address.
To move your subscription to a different Apple ID instead:
- Turn off renewal on the old Apple ID — see How do I cancel or unsubscribe from Industry Pro? (you keep Industry Pro until the paid period ends);
- Sign your device in to the new Apple ID — see How do I check which Apple ID is logged into my device?;
- Subscribe to Industry Pro in Scriptation while signed in with the new Apple ID.
Team or Team Studio seats
Team licenses aren't tied to a member's email — each device is activated with the License Key. Team Admins can update the account email in the Team Admin Portal under My Account → Account details.
On Campus or Enterprise activation links
On Campus and Enterprise activation links are device-specific, not email-specific. If you're switching from a personal Apple ID to a different one (or vice versa) on the same device, you won't lose any files — you just activate the new license on your device, and everything already there stays intact. Use the Send us an email button at the bottom of this page to receive a new activation link.
Scriptation Account
Starting in Scriptation 6.0, there's an additional, separate Scriptation account used for features like AI Voices. This is signed in via Apple SSO ("Sign in with Apple"), so it's also tied to whichever Apple ID you choose — there's no standalone email/password to edit. To use a different email here, sign out of the Account tab in Settings and sign back in with the Apple ID tied to the email you want.
