How do I use Master Edit Mode?
Before learning how to use Master Edit Mode, knowing how Scriptation understands pages is helpful. There are two kinds of pages:
Native: Official script pages, in their imported order.
Inserted / User-Added: Pages which have been created manually in Scriptation. Facing pages, sides, and pages which were copied / pasted are inserted / user-added.
By default, Scriptation does not allow native script pages to be moved, reordered, or deleted. We rely on script pages being in a set order so that Note Transfer and other tools can work effectively. However, under certain circumstances, you may need to use Master Edit Mode to make adjustments to page assignments.
Master Edit Mode can be used when:
You need to reorder pages -- for example when scenes or acts are moved;
You need to delete pages -- for example when a script has been imported with blank or extra pages or there are duplicate native pages.
Pages somehow got mismarked. Although it's rare, inserted pages can be mis-marked as native script pages and vice versa. With Master Edit Mode, pages can be changed from native to inserted and vice-versa.
NOTE: If you reorder or delete actual script pages through Master Edit Mode, Note Transfer and other advanced features may not work correctly.
TIP: If certain pages need to be deleted because a revised draft has been issued, use the Collate Pages feature -- it will integrate the new pages, transfer the annotations, and automatically delete the old pages.
To enable Master Edit Mode:
Touch or click the File Browser:
At the bottom of the window, touch or click Settings:
In the Author Name text field, change the name to DEBUG (it's case sensitive) and hit Save:
Confirm that you want to Unlock Master Edit by touching or clicking Yes:

In the Facing Pages screen touch or click Master:
Instructions for Master Edit Mode will be displayed. Touch or click OK to begin working with your pages:
Inserted / User-added pages should HAVE a checkmark;
Native script pages should NOT HAVE a checkmark. If they are checked by mistake, touch or click to deselect them;
If you need to reorder or delete pages, ensure the pages you need to move or delete have a checkmark;
If you're correcting mis-marked pages, be sure that only the inserted pages have checkmarks.
If you're correcting mis-marked pages, select the appropriate pages and touch or click Save.
Reordering Pages
Touch or click Edit and tap and drag your pages around as needed. When you're finished, touch or click Save.
After your pages have been reordered, return to Master and mark any script pages you've moved back as Native pages (not checked). This will help the accuracy of future Note Transfers.
Deleting Pages
Touch or click Edit, select the pages you want to delete, touch or click Remove and then touch or click Save:
To disable Master Edit Mode:
