Transferring Notes to a New Set of Pages: the Collated Pages Process
Collate Pages brings revised page packets (blue, pink, yellow, green, etc.) into your existing draft and transfers your annotations forward in a single step — perfect when a fully collated revised script isn't available.
Here's the common scenario. You have a script with annotations on it — let's call it Shooting Draft. A new page packet arrives — Blue Pages — and you need to collate the new pages and bring your annotations forward.
- Import or open the New Pages;
- Touch or click the Transfer icon on the Top Toolbar:

- Select the script you want to transfer notes from. In this case, Shooting Draft:

- The Transfer Annotations window appears, showing the cover pages of both the "from" and "to" scripts. In the Pro Transfer section, toggle Collate Pages on:

The other Pro Transfer options are:
- Compare Scripts — Generates a scene-by-scene breakdown of script changes;
- Transfer Bookmarks — Carries your Bookmarks into the new draft.
- When your settings are made, touch or click Next (or Begin):
- A) Users with a single layer of annotations will be prompted to save the file;
- B) Users with multiple layers will be taken to the Layer Selection window, with checkboxes for the layer(s) you want to transfer:

Creating the collated file
- Name the new file and touch or click Save:

- Select a location to save the new collated file and touch or click Select. If you don't specify a location, the file is saved to the On my iPad folder:

- The transfer takes a couple of seconds, and an overview of any changes between drafts is displayed:

- If there are Deleted Annotations caused by the rewrites, you'll be prompted to view a detailed summary; touch or click OK to see the summary or Not Now to dismiss.
