Whether you're right-handed, left-handed, or just want more room, you can drag the Annotation Toolbar wherever you need it.

Tap and hold the six-dot icon at the bottom or far right of the toolbar. The toolbar will lift, and you can drag and place it on the Top, Left, or Right of the screen:
