Using the Style Palette (Inspector)

The Style Palette (also called the Inspector) is where you customize how an annotation looks after you've created it — its color, opacity, order, and type-specific attributes like font, line thickness, or arrowhead style.

📝 NOTE: This video shows a slightly older user interface, but the instructions are still accurate.

After you've created an annotation — such as a text marking, a Text Box, a free drawing, or a shapetouch or click it and select Inspector from the palette:

Different annotation types offer different attributes. For example, a text annotation lets you set the font, a drawing lets you set the line thickness, and an arrow lets you set the arrowhead type.

Every annotation lets you set the color, the opacity, and the order (when annotations overlap). Each annotation's color scheme can be set by choosing from a number of customizable color presets.
