Getting a new iPad

I just got a new iPad! How can I move everything over to my new device?

Congrats on the new device! There's just a few steps you need to take to ensure a seamless transition to your new iPad.

On your old iPad's home screen, tap Apple Settings.

Tap Your Name, on the top left.

Tap iCloud.

Under the Apps Using iCloud heading, you will see iCloud Backup. Check that it is toggled ON.

By tapping the right arrow next to ON, you can see when the last iCloud Backup was made. If you did work in Scriptation since the "Last successful back-up" date and time - tap Back Up Now. Apple will now back up your entire device, including all of your data within Scriptation.

After the back-up of your old device is complete, you are now ready to setup the new device! Begin by following the Apple device setup procedure.

When presented with the Apps & Data options, tap Restore from iCloud Backup.

Restore from iCloud Backup may take a while. Be sure to let the iPad restore fully before trying to utilize it. You may have a lot of data that's downloading for all of your apps.

Industry Pro Users:

With Restore from iCloud Back-up completed, Scriptation should have automatically download from the App Store, and activated on it's own. Should the activation not happen automatically, click here.

Scriptation Team Users:

Since group licenses come with a specific number of activations, we recommend Deactivating Team on your old device, prior to Activating Team on your new device.

Team Studio Users

Since group licenses come with a specific number of activations, we recommend Deactivating Team Studio on your old device, prior to Activating Team Studio on your new device.

Additionally, due to the security restrictions around Team Studio, your files will not be accessible on the deactivated device. Talk to your Team Studio Administrator for access to the folder.
