How do I add scene dividers to my script?

Scriptation can automatically draw a line at the beginning of every scene in your script, making scenes visually distinct from each other when you scan the page.

This is handled by the Scene Dividers Info Layer, part of Scriptation's Info Layers feature.

📝 NOTE: Info Layers are an Industry Pro feature.

Turning on scene dividers

  1. With your script open, tap Layers on the Top Toolbar;

✅ TIP: If the Layers icon isn't showing in the Top Toolbar, touch or click the plus sign on the right side to show additional icons. To pin it permanently, see Customizing the Top Toolbar.

  1. In the Layers side panel, find the Info Layers section and toggle on Scene Dividers;

  1. Scriptation places a divider line at the beginning of every scene to visually separate it from the next.

Customizing scene dividers

Open the Settings option at the bottom of the Layers side panel to choose the divider color:

  • Black———
  • Red———
  • Blue———
